Kids who need health insurance can get it - through Neighborhood Health Providers and Child Health Plus.
Child Health Plus is a New York State sponsored health insurance program for children under the age of 19. NHP Child Health Plus provides a child or teenager with free or affordable health coverage depending on their household income. The cost is based on family income and the number of people in the family. The cost is based on family income and the number of people in the family.
Children Can Qualify To Join if they:
• Are under the age of 19
• Are New York State Residents
• Are not eligible for Medicaid
• Have little or no health care coverage
Child Health Plus members provides the following benefits:

Child Health Plus does not cover:
- Non Emergency Transportation
- Medical supplies (except as specified above)
- Home health services except in lieu of inpatient hospital admission
or a skilled nursing facility.
