Neighborhood Health Provider's Plans start with a Primary Care Provider whom you choose. This doctor knows you, your family, and your medical history. You, your doctor and NHP work together to plan for your good health! Although you have a choice among several health, remember NHP is right there - in your neighborhood!

When you join NHP, you and your family members pick a Primary Care Provider from our list of doctors. You have a choice from among at least three primary care providers. You visit your Primary Care Provider whenever you need health services. After you enroll in our plan, you will be required to use doctors, clinics and hospitals that work with the plan, except in a few special cases. Our list of doctors, clinics and hospitals offers you a wide choice. If your problem needs special care, your Primary Care Provider refers you to a specialist who is in the NHP program. We have many specialists to choose from. NHP screens all doctors in the Plan so you know you're going to someone you can trust. And, if you need other services, NHP is there as your Health Plan to help arrange them for you.
